Commander’s Corner for March.

Comrades,
As we begin this year there are a lot of things to be proud of, a successful Crab Feed, another great job by John our cook, also our weekly dinners are starting to pick up and that is thanks to the participation of our members.
I want all members to start thinking of our Post Election for the upcoming year. Due to the newly adopted rules, all Commanders are limited to two terms as Post Commander, therefore I cannot run again as your Commander. There are a number of good candidates that would make am outstanding Commander for our Post.
I want to thank the Sons of the American Legion for their rally and wonderful dinner on Sat. Feb 6th, remember to support our auxiliaries in their functions. Our Boy Scout Troop is having a pancake breakfast Sunday, March 20th from 8am-1pm.

Dear Brothers & Sisters,
We are moving into the Easter Season. I know that this is the Spring time that most of us look forward to each year. Here is a prayer that we are able to have health and memories of a good season.

Understanding Priority Group 6 Eligibility for VietNam Veterans
Eligibility for enrolment in the V.A. health care system is determined by qualifying in one of eight priority groups. Priority group (PG) incorporates seven categories of veterans. The fourth category pertains to “Veteran who served in the Republic of Vietnam between January 9, 1962 & May 7, 1975.”
To clarify & elaborate on eligibility for PG 6 Southeast Asia Theater Veterans, we asked the following questions of VFW’s National Veterans Service, the Department familiar with VA rules and regulations.
The eight questions & answers are listed on page 10 in the March VFW magazine.
