Since my last report of 10/20/15 I have resolved the mystery of the headstone. I went to the Modesto Court house records an purchased a death certificate for the veteran, Tony Oliver Paniagua, whose name was on the headstone. Shortly after he died his wife passed on. Therefore, a new headstone was made up with both the veteran and wife’s names on the headstone and they are buried at Santa Nella.
Someone apparently stole the headstone from Santa Nella and it ended up in Turlock.
I returned the headstone to Allen’s Mortuary in Turlock and they in turn called Santa Nella and they will pick it up.
The copy of the death certificate helped resolve the answers.

Chaplain’s Corner For December.
Dear Brothers & Sisters,
Hope all had a satisfying Thanks giving. We are now heading into the Christmas Season.
Of course we have to take time for our Veterans on Pearl Harbor Day( Dec 7th). Our prayers go out to all of the families of the veterans of the time who gave us our freedoms.
Sick Call: (Short & Longtime) Dan Blew, Darrell Beauchamp, Ron Carlson(at Brandel), Richard Desper, Earl Hamilton, Richard Minot, Dick Sawyer, Bob Russell, and Charles Ware. May your prayers help them to a healthy recovery.
Don’t forget all of our Protectors who help keep us safe every day. Please contact me with any of our members who are sick so we can put our prayers out for them. Have a blessed Christmas.

Tomorrow, Friday, November 20th, the Bar will open @ 4:30 pm. The Annual Post Thanksgiving Dinner will be @ 6 pm. All members and their families are invited to attend. Please bring canned food or nonperishable items to give to our needy comrades and their families.
