Commander’s Corner for January.

American Legion Logo

Comrades,

As we begin a new year, there are a lot of challenges we must complete. One of the most important is maintenance on our parking lot and bring back our Friday Night Dinners. Our volunteers work very hard preparing our meals and they need our Post’s support. It is very hard to get individuals to cook for the Post and only a hand full of people show up to eat. Friday Nights are our social night for some of our members, so please help support the cooks.

Chaplain’s Corner For January.

Dear Brothers & Sisters,

We have moved into another year 2016. We pray that you had a safe and blessed Christmas and New Year.
A question has been coming up from members and family members to many of us, especially the Honor Guard.  When a veteran passes who do we request the Honor Guard through?  The system “NOW” is that the Funeral Home contacts the Honor Guard Captain to request the service for the Veteran.  If the family wants a certain honor guard group to do the service they should let the funeral home know so that that group will be contacted.

Chaplain, Earl Hamilton (209) 606-4525
