Homeless Veterans Stand Down.
On Thursday, October 31st, 2019 the Homeless Veterans Stand Down will be taking place at Graceada Park in Modesto,from 9 am – 3 pm
From VA.gov: “Stand Downs are typically one- to three-day events providing supplies and services to homeless Veterans, such as food, shelter, clothing, health screenings and VA Social Security benefits counseling. Veterans can also receive referrals to other assistance such as health care, housing solutions, employment, substance use treatment and mental health counseling. They are collaborative events, coordinated between local VA Medical Centers, other government agencies and community-based homeless service providers.”
Reminder: 2nd Annual Frank Goldsmith Veterans Memorial Run.
Tomorrow, Saturday Oct. 19, 2019, will be the 2nd annual “Frank Goldsmith Veterans Memorial Run” .
There is a $30 registration fee which includes an all you can eat ticket at Hometown Buffet and raffle drawings.
Registration is from 8 to 9:30am @ the legion post. Kickstands up at 9:45am. For more info contact Celso at 209-262-7292.
