Dear Brothers & Sisters,
We have moved into the season of Spring. This is the time to take our winter slumber and try and do everything that our youth was so easy to do. Use our knowledge and especially what our body tells us what we can do everyday and go for it. May God grant us will and health at this time of the year.
If anyone knows of someone who is sick, let me know so they can be put on sick call. Should a member die and the family would like the Honor Guard to do Military Service, in our area, contact me and I will give info on how to get arrangements completed.
Please advise if any of you members or friends can help me in the I.D. of Carl Stanford Sjogren originally from Denair, CA. His medals were given to me from a distant relative, David Muller, 11512 E. Keyes Rd., Denair, CA.
Regarding ancestry.com I came up with a Carl S. Sjogren DOB: 1-2-1908. Last residence 67464 Marquette McPherson, Kansas. SSN:702-14-8041a long time or retired railroad worker.
I’ve written to (registered mail) to National Archives & records Adm. old military & civil records. This soldier received two Bronze stars, “A” Co. U.S. infantry (combat) all Army forces.
Call me if you have any information on this Army veteran of WWII. No response yet from V.A. office. (over three months) He may have been a member of American Legion or V.F.W. So far no records at either post.
I have his medals & will put them in either of the above show cases unless further information is discovered.
