The next Auxiliary meeting will be held September 9th at the legion hall. brown bag social hour from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm. meeting starts at 1:30 pm. A new member, Wanda Rice attended our meeting in august. Welcome Wanda, we are hoping to get some more new & current members to attend once a month. We really need your help.
Unit 88 is planning to have the tri-tip drive thru again this year in October or November. John Haggstrom, Legion Chef has graciously agreed to cook the tri-tip for us again this year. It has been a good fundraiser for us the past two years.
District 12 installation was held prior to the meeting on August 23rd in Merced. new officers are: President Kathy Smith of Merced, 1st Vice President Ann Kelly of Merced and 2nd Vice President Donna Hedstrom of Turlock.
Marianne Hoex, Josephine Whitmore and I attended the district meeting. It was very informative. Kathy Smith, President, had some good information for the auxiliary units in attendance.
Please try to attend the Friday Dinners/Hamburger Nights cooked by the Sons of the American Legion and the Legion Riders. We need to fill up the hall with patrons to support these groups.
