Our Post, as far as dues paying members is concerned, is doing fairly well. At the end of December we had an 83% rating of members who had paid their dues. Not bad you say? Well, as the officer in charge of membership, I think we shouldn’t pat ourselves on the back until we reach 100%! It has been done in the past and I know we can do it again – all we need is for those members who are “sitting” on their Renewal Notices to send them in with their payment and Voila, we are there! I know it can be done because 81% of your fellow members have already done so!!!

American Legion Auxiliary’s Corner for January.
January 14th is our next Auxiliary meeting. Hope to see more of our members come out and support our Auxiliary. We need the younger members to step up to the plate. Our secretary had to resign, due to her husband’s health. We are in need of a volunteer to take this position for the remainder of the Aux. calendar year.

Looking back over this past year we have accomplished a lot. A very successful Fair, we were able to give funds to the New Police Service Memorial & we also were able to fund several other projects around the post, including new doors.

Post Everlasting: Funeral Notice for Richard “Diesel” Thayer

Diesel’s Funeral Service will be held at Allen Mortuary on Monday, Dec. 30th at 10 am. Military honors and internment will follow. Burial will be at North Hilmar Cemetery.

Thanks to everyone that came out and supported our Ladies Auxiliary in their Tri-Tip Dinner, they did well in their fundraisers. Thanks again to everyone for joining us for Thanksgiving Dinner. Our hats are off to John Haggstrom for his outstanding cooking.

We have placed Food Barrels inside the bar and in the hall, please put canned goods and non-perishable food into these barrels to help those in need.
