Chaplain’s Corner For June.
Dear Brothers & Sisters,
We were glad to see those that were able to come to the Memorial Services on the 25th of May. Held at the Turlock Memorial Park and at the gathering at the VFW afterward. This gathering is put on by the VFW 5059 and American Legion 88 for us veterans and family every year.
Service Officer’s Corner For June.
The following report is from the Merced V.A office:
All Veterans, if you served 90 days or more of active duty service and have developed ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) you can submit a compensation claim to get a service-connected rating to get free medical treatment and possibly tax-free monthly payments from the VA Regional office (Oakland office).

American Legion Auxiliary’s Corner June(Final).
Final meeting for Unit 88 will be at Latif’s restaurant on June 9th at 12:30 pm.
A letter was sent out informing all members that Unit 88 will be turning in our charter and disbanding at the end of this Auxiliary calendar year June 30, 2015. Please contact me by June 8th regarding where you would like to transfer to continue your member years.
