National has been pushing for our membership to pay their dues online with them through their website instead of at the local level. However, I have heard nothing but complaints about this process. I have received several phone calls from concerned members saying they have paid their dues online to National, but are still waiting for their membership card.
After paying National, the member is supposed to copy a receipt from them, and take it to the Post as proof that they paid their dues. A membership card can then be issued by me, the 1st Vice.
National only notifies me every few months that members have paid them and send along a check with our part of the dues, so if you don’t let me know, you may be waiting a while for your card.
Do yourself a favor, pay your Annual Membership Dues directly to us at the Post. This way you know it is getting handled properly and in a timely manner.
